I don't want to clutter up the C&R page, and I want input from people who are actually coming, and not random people popping in to the thread and voting. Our current "return and vote via comments" plan has worked pretty well, but there's always room for improvement!

You guys want me to make a voting thread?

1st Saturdays are generally good for me, but I am pretty flexible.
Just taking up space in (what is no longer) the second-worst small town in California.

No one weekend day is better than another for me. All are fraught with similar peril

Had a great time so did my kid. Lots of people showed up.

Came home to a AK parts kit in the mail.

            Back to the blast booth!

Sounds like you guys had a great time today. Was all the loud noise coming from from your area at the range? At our C&R shoots, it's always booming at our end. LOL

1st Sat in Sept. is a holiday weekend. I think a lot of people will be out of town or doing family stuff.

I left a little early, my BHP was jamming, jamming, jamming. Stovepipes.

Glad to see the female participants, the young woman shooting the big caliber was impressive.

Dutch3 brought meat, did you guys have some tri-tip?

It got cooked. Dave got some plates and utensils at the store. Kappy provided a Kalihari Jumanji knife to cut it up. Some was consumed and I took the rest home.

Your Hi-Power was jamming with factory ammo? Think its the mag? Is the mag body steel?

Maybe someone with a wirefeed welder could build up the worn spot, then grind, grind, file, file, to make it good again.

                      Did you take any pics?

Kappy, that Bersa .380 in not on the roster, is it? I see a "Thunder" or similar...is it the same gun?

The Bersa Thunder was what he had if I'm not mistaken.

I mean, sure looks like it:

Man, that gun was accurate! Thanks again for letting me shoot that, Kap

I used to have a MiniFirestorm in 9mm. It was accurate and reliable. Same thing as the Bersa just a different name. If anyone has one in .40 I have a new mag for one

I don't care when it is at as long as I can attend.. *grumpy*... missed the last three ones.. two dr. appointments and the prepared birth class.

Which I know now how to activate a baby's off switch. I will use it.. often.
...but their exists also in the human heart a depraved taste for equality, which impels the weak to attempt to lower the powerful to their own level, and reduces men to prefer equality in slavery to inequality with freedom.

Yeah... the gun fell off the list, apparently. It is the Thunder in .380 ACP.

That'd be the one. I bought it from a club member for around $300. Came with maybe three or four mags, so I was willing to pay that much. I was in the mood to find a decent, light, carry gun instead of lugging my 1911 around in all kinds of weather.

A while back, a buddy wanted to buy it off of me. He tried to hard sell me at $250, claiming that since it was "used," I should let it go for less than I'd paid for it. I passed. A month goes by and he's frantic to get it for $500... but that deal would have to have been offered a month prior. You only get one bite at the apple when you try to hard sell me. That's how I found out it was off the list.

I didn't buy it for the accuracy. Frankly, I don't find it terribly accurate. It's not inherently inaccurate, mind you. For a pistol with such a short sight radius, I'd say it stacks up pretty well. I bought it because, with the exception of the slide not really locking back very well, it functions flawlessly. It has never failed to fire and cleanly extract.
