NorCal C&R Shoot @ Oroville June 28th!

Got a case of clays, case of ammo, Trap guns, and I think my launcher isn't going to make it here in the morning.

I have a launcher. I'll have to dig it out in the AM.

It needs to be tied down to something heavy, like a spare tire. I have a spare tire. Got any rope?

I had a good time today. It was great to meet SDK and Kappy and see everyone else again.

I know I did more BS'ing than shooting, but that's OK. We should do it more often. I do know it is a long drive for many.

Thanks to Paulie for bringing the BBQ and charcoal, and to Dave for volunteering to go get plates and utensils that I had bought yesterday but stupidly forgot to bring.

And to Kappy for his "big camping knife" to cut up the meat. I think Kappy must go camping in Alaska or some other place where large animals abound.

I'm always amazed how much the guns you see at the range have changed over the last years. In the mid 2000s I was lucky if I saw one other AR at the range in a year. Now there are tons of ARs AKs and I am seeing more of the less popular stuff like FALs, MAC, etc every trip out there. Even in the time I have been on this forum and going to these shoots there has been a huge change.

Oh ya, and the C&R stuff is OK too. haha






The other thing I thought was super cool about this shoot was there were a bunch of new shooters being introduced to the sport and guys were offering them all sorts of cool stuff to shoot. It was neat.

I am going to go on record and say this might have been the best shoot so far!
It was great to meet new people, and I got to shoot a handful of guns I've never even held before: always a hoot.
The food was fantastic, and thank you immensely to all the people who helped with that, it really makes these shoots great!

So, what does everybody think of September 6th (1st Saturday) or September 13th (2nd Saturday) as possible dates for the next shoot?

I get so busy BS'ing and catching up with everyone that I haven't seen in awhile, that I never got down the line very far to say hello to anyone. I started several times in Norcalkid's direction to say hello and shoot that Uzi, and got shanghaied every time!
Scott and his lady friend Kalee got a bunch of pics and video they'll email me, then I'll get it posted. I think there's some video of surplus addict's sister whupping him pretty bad in that Rem .22 competition too.

Rule number one of shooting against my sister: DON'T! You'll end up with less ammunition and a bruised ego, and it's even worse when it's sibling rivalry
