If he doesn't have a template, you can send yours to be copied. He and I both have been searching for a source of laminate blanks, in a red and white, to duplicate the 98K stocks. So far no luck.

Surprisingly, the "fencepost" is starting to look pretty good! First coat of BLO is still drying, this weather and w55 being AWOL, has slowed the process. I'll start another thread with pics when i get it done.

Glad to hear the stock is looking better. Is the BLO not wanting to soak into to the wood? How many coats are you going to do?

We should find out what he can do now and if we buy enough and grow his templates it could be good for everyone. Where is that list TRAP.

That would be cool if Dave can get those made, looking at the boyds K98 stocks, they are pretty fat compared to the originals.

Tom, first time I've seen those, no wonder they gave us the runaround on a laminate blank. Oversized and "semi-inletted" to accommodate all those "out of spec" 98K actions?

You have to be a member to see the photos, but anyone serious about surplus rifles will be probably be a member anyway.

Check out how fat the handguard is, and look at how far the recoil lug is recessed in the stock.
