Need a Replacement Stock?

If anyone wants a thumbhole stock for their rimfire (since Boyds refuses to ship one here now), or a stock made for any other firearm, I just talked to Dave, aka "inthe10ring" on the Mauser Central forums. He's sympathetic to our oppressive commie gun laws, and said to send him your requests. He can duplicate your stock, or duplicate it with added features to your specs.
Sorry, I forgot to ask about laminates, not sure if he has a source for them. He's a one man operation, does excellent work, and has a quick turn around time. His email, and tell him Trap sent you!

His prices are very reasonable too. This is an average example of a Mauser 98 stock he just sold, and if I recall, was less than $350. A stock blank with that kind of figure, would easily cost you that much.

I have no dog in this fight, but did Boyds change their policy recently? I and a friend both got a thumbhole in the last few months. Both rifles are bolt actions.

Surprisingly, the "fencepost" is starting to look pretty good! First coat of BLO is still drying, this weather and w55 being AWOL, has slowed the process. I'll start another thread with pics when i get it done.

now I can see it, super Purdy! So if I sent him a stock he could copy it....interesting....this could be good for lots of people looking for a rare stock for something, if you know someone who has what you need and they'd be willing to lend it for the sake of science, could work out nice.

If he doesn't have a template, you can send yours to be copied. He and I both have been searching for a source of laminate blanks, in a red and white, to duplicate the 98K stocks. So far no luck.
