I may need a M96 Swede but don't know which one I want.

i'd call it foolishness to think that there is a "win" in any course of action for us but to move out of California. think about it; you continue to buy guns and pay their extortion fees, which essentially pays them to screw you, or you don't buy anything, they run short on money and tax it out of you anyway. there is no right answer and i'd personally rather not buy more things to register with these clowns, or pay their taxes. pretty sure I've made my last firearm purchase in California at this point. better buy ammo and reloading stuff before they ban that too because it's next. trying to "fight" or "ride it out" in California is kinda like backing the Titanic up to hit the iceberg again at this point.

Can't we still do FTF if both parties have C&R with COE?

Yes, it's just that we have a lot of idealists who refuse to give in and pay for the COE and/or 03 FFL and then the registration fee.

Only the buyer needs a C&R FFL and a COE. The seller doesn't need anything but a gun to sell.

This is why I finally broke down and got my COE.
