Do you want an AOW or C&R SBS/SBR in CA?

Had fun today also! Too bad the wind picked up so much. Thanks beetle bailey for letting me check out your Persian Mauser and the others. Where did you pick up your steel plate? How did it fair at the end if the day? Those were fun to shoot at. Nice to meet all the fellow Calgunners too!

Bayonet??? Holy Hannah, that thing looks like a sword!!!!

Glad you folks had a good time. My son and I skipped it in favor of family time and playoff football.

I had a great time today and met a few new people. Thanks Beetle for letting me shoot your Saiga, that's a fun gun. Thanks Notabiker for helping me check the firing pin protrusion on my Mosin bolt. I should pick up one of those tools, just to have.

I sure had fun, got to shoot my 1985 Nagant pistol. it shot the surplus ammo no problem. My target held up pretty well. My eye bolts worked but i need to lock tight them. the shock of repeated hits loosened one side up and it fell off right at the end. I got some poor surplus 8MM that would not fire in my Mauser. last time out the some other WW2 stuff fired no problem. I guess if you shoot this stuff long enough it will happen. thanks ED for letting me shoot the Carcano rifle. February here we come

That was pretty cool when we both hit the steel plate at the same time by coincidence BTW, I got the plate, bracket, and stand from:

They are a Calguns sponsor with their own vendor sub-forum, though it isn't exactly active. The steel is still in great shape and it's the 66% torso. I am happy with it since it is a much better stand than the sawhorse I was using previously. With the now retired sawhorse, Black Majik and Jimja had to go out with me each line break to reset it (BTW thanks guys).

you thinks its cool, to me its a pain in the ***. I've got a dozen locks or so with 4-5 different keys and I have shown up at the range with a locked case and no key to open it

but it is funny when fellow gunnies so see a bunch of locked rifle cases in my car and know that there is going to be something interesting in there

Get a cheap lock pick set, it is super easy to learn to pick locks. I got pretty good and could get "security enhanced" locks openly pretty easily... I did this as a bit of a hobby not for shady reasons.

Was it the Iranian/Persian by chance?

I got to west end one day and realized I left my ear protection sitting on my work bench, luckily Jamie had a spare set of foam plugs!

You never disappoint me when you show up

yup, I've got a set of lock picks. helps when you need to get into a server room or cabinet and nobody knows where the keys are.

yes i bought 200 rounds of this worthless stuff. maybe it will work in another mauser but i shot nazi stuff last time without a problem. maybe a newer firing pin spring will fire it.
