The Yugo's were never in "wrappers" when they were imported. They were in wooden crates as in the pic below. Ten rifles per crate. They came with slings, pouches, cleaning gear and oilers as well as a book serialized to the individual rifle...

That's cool the way they packed them in the crates with everything ready to go. Is that crate of Yugo's part of your collection?

Yeah the stocks can be really beautiful. The vendor who sold the rifle to me had two others. I picked the one which I thought was the nicest stock.. I have two other rifles in similar condition which I bought years ago..Couldn't pass up one more for $300 OTD.

sweet SKSs, i just sold my 59/66 to fund my M-39. i still have one SKS. those yugo SKSs are very well made , better than the chinese from what i could see. no bad SKSs congrats.

I like them all... But to shoot, the Chinese are IMHO better.. They have no gas cutoff to get messed up, and have chrome lined barrels. Plus the Chinese rifles are substantially lighter than the Yugo....
