so true, kind of frightening buying a firearm off Craigslist. You're more likely to get heldup with said rifle. Still, I look occasionally but the only Enfields I find are two wheelers. Did find a Garand listed for cheap but guy wanted to go through a dealer transfer, I offered to buy it and told him we could legally do the transaction without dealer... He didn't reply snd withdrew ad. Humph!

Yea, the guy was... touched, but he lost his job and was selling everything, so maybe that was a big part of the reason.
He had some other goodies that an retired cop friend wanted, so I sent him down there to talk to the guy for the stuff.
When the guy found out he was a cop (or ex-cop) he tried to unload a BAR.

Craigslist has an anti-gun policy including parts and reloading items -
It does depend on where you live how vigorous the policy is enforced --
The guy with the upper for sale in the heavy equiptment section possibly kept getting flagged off in the sporting goods section --
I use CL all the time, no problem with buyers, but the scammers trying to get your email address are relentless -
I recommend using a throw away email when responding to craigslist buyers. --

did find some interesting stuff. for any of you reloaders in or near the IE, there's a lyman Digital Powder dispenser/scale in Temecula for 200 bucks, which is a pretty good deal. I've got the old 1200DPSIII, but this one is way faster and touchscreen too. i'd buy it if I could. there's also an enfield jungle carbine in Downey.Comment

That Korean bringback was nice
My craigslist score a few years ago was two SCWs - 36 and 37 Tulas . Plus a 1942 91/30 no import mark. For 3 bills. Came with about $100 worth of misc gun stuff too
Guy said it was his grampas stuff. Said he was Russian and fought in the Soviet army in GPW. Said he was captured and spent the remaining war years in German POW camps. So i got a cool story too
