yeah, I've watched certain rifles that've been on there for years now, not just months. generally due to too-high reserve or poor information/representation of what it is.

Have to wonder about those. Makes me think they are "Honey, I have it listed on Gunbroker, but it just isn't selling" deals.

One of the previous auctions: http://www.gunbroker.com/Auction/Vie...Item=360406559

Bid up to $805, reserve not met.

The photos kind of suck. Yeah, it is great he took it outside, but the glare from the direct sunlight makes it hard to actually see anything.

One thing I do see, it almost looks like the stock has been sanded. The RA and the FJA stamps look too faint. Look at the stamps on that rifle, and compare it to these:

Look at the box around the FJA stamp on the gunbroker rifle. It looks like the top and bottom of the box are almost gone.

Reserve too high period, and definitely too high for that rifle, in my opinion.
As far as the original stock markings being sanded... That could be from a after war refurb... However if it were a after war refurb these would also be a arsenal stamp on it...

Here is a pic of the OG arsenal cartuche in the stock of the above rifle....The "OG" mark indicates the rifle received a arsenal rebuild at the Ogden arsenal... If the rifle in the GB add has a unsanded arsenal rebuild mark, then it would probably be legit.... Since there are no pic's of the mark one can only assume the sanding was done by "Bubba".

The sanding I was referring to would have been by "Bubba"...Again without actually holding ther rifle in your hands or having excellent photos it's really hard to tell.....
