    COE turnaround - FAST

    Did live scan on 10/7

    Sent in paperwork 10/15

    Received Cert in mail 10/22 (dated 10/18)

    Wow - I was expecting 2 mos -

        Sent my COE docs regular mail on 10/14, received 10/23. Surprisingly fast

          Mine came back in two weeks, I was blown away. Anything else from the State takes months, why are they so efficient on COEs?

                Mine just came in the mail yesterday. I think it took around 1.5 weeks from mailing to receiving. Very fast in my opinion.

                    First you fill out this application:


                    The 3rd page of the document above is the Request for LiveScan form (with the top half pre-filled out) that you bring to a LiveScan location.

                    You can find a location below (with the prices for each vendor):



                    After that you just mail off the application form and wait.

                      Steph has it right, I thought you meant where do you get the docs processed. You have to have them in hand before you visit the LiveScan station.

                        Thanks. Just thinking that I should get one because I've been doing more training / instructing and handling of firearms lately. What do you folks think the biggest reason for having a COE is?

                          No 1 in 30 was enough of a reason for me to send in an application.
