$550 is a lot for a Krag with cut down down stock and original length barrel.

I recently bought one in similar condition for $200. Still looking for a original stock tho! PM me if you guys have any lead...

As for the Enfield, I'll definitely pass on that!

I bought a bubba'd LE last year for $250. Cost about $218 more to renovate. The replacement parts went up about $75 from last year.

I paid a little over 300 for my fairly-nice 45 jungle carbine, so "basic" enfields don't really get me off. only one I really ever wanted was the carbine, although after shooting a very nice one, I kinda want a no.1mkIII. either way, unless it was a sick deal, I sure as hell wouldn't be buying any rifles that "need a little love" at this point, I already have a couple.
