    I'm up to my eyeballs in Mauser alligators, the last thing I need right now is another fix it Mauser. Your Turk, Nate's Brazilian, my great nephews Turk .257R, and my Vz24 .257RAI. The good news is, I found a big box full of spare Mauser parts I forgot I had.

      IMHO the ONLY Mauser to own in .308 is the FR8....

        I have a M1916 in ".308".

        I like it well enough, but I do load on the low end for it.
        Just taking up space in (what is no longer) the second-worst small town in California.

          Some of us are mighty fond of our Israeli reworked K98k Mausers in 7.62 NATO. Given that mine also passes headspace for .308, it's good to go.

          That being said, I usually do put together mild handloads for it, because all I'm doing is punching holes in paper at 100 yards.
