Cool, that cuts down on the amount of junk to throw in the truck!

I planned on bringing my AR pistol to compare it to yours, but i decided to tear it down the other day and get the lower off to anodizing (80%er). The two tone raw/black look of the gun was driving me nuts and I could not find an anodizer who would do the color I wanted for less than an arm and 3 legs, type 3 black it is!

First trigger pull on mine was somewhat unnerving, until the loud bang came out of the flaming pig and kicked up dust 5" infront of me haha

Ill be bringing my new savage .30-06 aswell, i want to see how accurate the "factory boresight" is!

Does anyone have a front sight adjustment tool they could bring and show me how to use it? I'd be very grateful

Has anyone tried one of the Laser Boresighter fake cartridges? They have very mixed reviews. I was looking at this one from amazon:http://www.amazon.com/7-62x54R-Alumi.../dp/B005E4KUDY

I just found this thread today. I am a WEGC full member, joined in January of this year.

Have you guys considered using the 200 yard rifle pad?
IDPA is supposed to use bays 1,2,3, and 6. That leaves the rifle range open. We would just have to get there early and claim it. As far as I know, we are allowed to use it as long as the competitions are not using it. I believe it has priority over bays 7-11. I have used it quite a few times on the weekend and the range is usually quiet when it is this hot.

What qualifies for C&R? Over 50 years old? I have a Winchester 54 30-06 from 1926 and a Winchester 30-30 lever action from the early 70's. I am better with the 30-06, but not exceptional. It has peep sights. I need to find screws for the little scope that goes with it. I have an M1 carbine as well, but have only shot it one time.

I have AR 500 plates and stands. I have one mount that will hang on the "T" posts on the 200 yard range and I have 4 steel stands that can be nailed into the ground. The plates I have are: 2-6" circles, 2-8" circles, and 1-12" circle. They are all 1/2" thick. They work for standard 223 and 460 Mag at 50 yards and I run up to 30-06 at 100 yards. The uprights on my stands are rebar, so it isn't the end of the world if they get accidentally nicked, but the bases are steel tube and I DON'T want them to get trashed.

I have also never shot on the main range. Do full members have to pay to shoot there, or just guests and partial members?

I would bring the 460 revolver, my Ruger MkIII Hunter 6 7/8" and my tricked out competition XD as well. I also have a sleek, light weight, ar 15 featureless that I use for 3 gun.

Now you're talking. I think if we could get enough full members and their spouses to go (6 guests that way) the back range would be awesome.

It would prevent us from doing line breaks and having a bunch of partial members who are not part of the calguns group trying to share the space. I know the main range can get busy, and sometimes the back range can seem desolate at the same time.

We would have to meet guests and partial members at the gate or see if the RO's would let them sign in and find us.

The list I saw on here was mostly full members anyway.

I doubt I will have a guest, so that leave 3 that can go under my membership.

The main range would feel too much like a public range.

I love the back range. It is like BLM land, with the benefits of a range close to home, and it isn't open to the public.

The last time they taped off the end of the firing line so we had out own space which was cool. The list of members on this thread includes full and limited with many more limited than full so I don't know what the final tally would be.

I will have 3 normal steel 12" circles and a double shepard's hook

I'm having a handgun mini shootout with Baboosh, so we can do a 1903 shootout, see who's better, lol

I'm going to aim at your stand, too

kind of late to change things, 200 yards is to far for beginners and old eyes. i think we should plan a shoot for 200 yards. i am sure baboosh will chime in his 2c. he kind of planed it.
