If so, I'm not sure I want to bring such object home. Bad juju.

totally missing the psychology behind collectors value. Why do you think nazi stuff is so highly sought after? The more notorious, the more valuable.

Any K98, Arisaka, Chinese SKS, or Civil War musket could have been used against American troops as well. Nobody knows what their milsurp rifles did in their former lives. The evil deeds reside in the soldier who carried the gun, not the gun itself. It is just an inert chunk of wood and metal until acted upon by human hands.
Hell, even our old M1s were used against us. I've seen pictures of German troops using captured Garands and carbines...not to mention the German "ost" troopers on the western front frequently used captured M/Ns.

I have a mint, unfired 59/66. I am thinking of dragging it behind my truck in the desert and then shooting it repeatedly with a pellet gun. It will look cooler and tougher that way.

Since I'm obvious on a complete different page on this subject, please humor me on this hypothetical situation.

Would you be interested in acquiring a human sized concrete with Hiroshima atomic shadow complete the name, background information of the said victim?

This question is not mean to be offensive, but rather, my attempt to understand your point of view.

Well, that would certainly be interesting to have(I wouldn't particularly want it...).

The thing with surplus guns that were issued to people in a conflict is that the gun may have been used for who knows what, you can't even make assumptions just based on which side of whatever conflict might have been using it.

If you don't like that concept, then military surplus isn't for you.

Lmao. Yes, that gun has a bayo. And yes, it could have stabbed babies. Or yes, it could have helped a guy dig up potatoes to feed his starving family who later after the war decided to move to the USA and start a business feeding the homeless. After he ditched the tifle in a barren field a bomb blew up and there was no one around.

That rifle could have saved babies from the clutches of murderous raping scoundrels. That rifle could have been used to prop open a door. Sure, making something up about stabbing babies makes it sound like Stalin and Hitler had a love child and it came out as this exact rifle. But you know it's not true.

These are firearms used in war. If you want something different, go buy an honor guard sks.
