NEED HELP WITH MOSIN

    I have not done any shimming at all.

    I can make the gun dry fire by pulling up on the cocking knob when it is in the ready to fire position.

    As I said, I have now realized that the rifle was doing this before any of the work I did.

    What parts should I order if I replaced some? Would pictures help at all?

      You most likely need a new Sear Spring, get one of these they are the best.

        If the screw holding the sear spring isn't tight, you can get these results too. Remove the stock and check that first.
