Baboosh when you call make sure the magnetic stuff is ok, I saw on their website today that the County just put the area on High fire danger warning and I have heard of them nixxing magnetic stuff in the past.

but it is good for 1 time at about 8 bucks a crack. even my SKS shot threw 1/4 inch like it was nothing. maybe 1/2 is OK ?

Dont ask about steel surplus ammo, we all shot it all day and the Range Officer did not say anything. let's just leave it at that.

                the rules are pretty clear,

                6. Tracer, incendiary and armor-piercing ammunitions are not permitted at the Main Range
. bi-metal ammo is not normally considered AP.

Do you want an AOW or C&R SBS/SBR in CA?

Everybody is aware that bi-metal is fine, I have shot it there many times myself. My question was more that since the range is in the San Bernardino Wilderness area and the county just put the area on High Fire Warning if the the range were going to put temporary limits on the type of ammo that they are allowing as they have in the past. I have been at the range when it is hotter, windier and drier than it is right now and everything has been fine, bi-metal ammo is GTG. Wish I wouldn't have brought it up now.
