had to sell some a while back

i am sure some of you had to sell some of your guns at one time. late last year i had to come up with some fast cash and sold most of my rifles.
    1. 2 22lr rifles
    2. a very nice 1983 M1A
    3. M-48 mauser
    4. about 6 Mosins
all i had left was a replica PU sniper, YUGO SKS and a 1955 romanian M-44 plus 1 savage MK 2 FV 22lr. that was it.
i am trying to replace the ones i really hated to sell. i just picked up a 1944 ex sniper and a chinese SKS.
i feel better now with the following
    1. 1944 IZZY M-44
    2. 1955 Romanian M-44
    3. PAW ARMS correct but REPRO PU sniper [ very good shooter]
    4.1944 izzy ex sniper
    5. 1934 hex TULA
    6. YUGO SKS
    7. chinese SKS.
i am at the point that i will eat cat food before i ever sell again.
one like new 1929 ex dragoon tula and the M1A are the ones i miss the most.

I feel for you. I've been blessed by the good Lord that have not sold any guns I like.

BTW, I heard cat food aren't that bad.

I would think cat food would give you some bad breath though.

It isn't the cat food that gives them bad breath. Just fight the urge to lick your butt like the cats do and you will be fine. LOL

OP, I have never sold any of mine, I imagine it is like losing a shooting partner. Here is towel to take away the tears.

Nothing on your list is particularly difficult to find, nothing on the list will have increased much in price in the last year, but a few dollars or so - have fun and look at it positively, there is a lot of satisfaction in the hunt.

This is meant as encouragement, I am not demeaning your collection at all, just helping to place it in to a positive perspective, hopefully, lol.

Good hunting and have fun reassembling your collection!

the 1944 ex sniper i just got is nicer than the one i had before, but the 1929 TULA was in fantastic condition in every way. the 1934 hex TULE is in nice shape but not like the 1929. i only had one SKS before so now i am ahead on that front.
my taste in guns is nice looking, not rare and collectible. i want nice shooters that look and function properly.

I have sold guns for economic necessity, and sometimes just out of boredom. Either way you end up regretting it usually.

This is especially the case when you sell something you KNOW you like, for something you THINK you may like... Only to find out you don't like it at all.

j've sold many, many guns..but only regretted selling my 1980,6" nickle plated Colt Trooper...About 10 years later,I walk into my LGS and wella, theres one in the case,20 numbers off my old S/N and NIB with the hang tags intact. It came from an estate and had been out of production for years... It sleeps in my safe now.All the otheres were sold to fund new guns,so I dont really miss them. But it gets harder by the day to find clean, used guns.

                    I was gonna say that

                    Yes you can have 2 C&R 03 FFL's; 1 in California and 1 in a different state.

I had to sell several of my C&R's a couple years back. I think about the guns that are gone now and it really upsets me. But then I remember my reasoning and thought process at the time, and I don't feel quite as bad. Just wish money wasn't so hard to come by, now or then.

only sold a few things that I really didn't connect with. I've toyed with the idea just to fund something more exciting, but I really don't want to do away with anything I have, even the multiples. in fact, some of the multiples are the ones I just seem to want more of. i'm up to 3 arisakas and 4 carcanos but I want MORE!!!!!! it really is a disease....best of luck on your hunt, it's the only kind of shopping I like to do(except for buying beer).
