    03 FFL Questions

Just got my set of forms from ATF and I'm done with everything except Number 10.)

Do I skip #10 regarding non immigrant aliens? I don't have a hunting license or permit number but I am a US Citizen.

Also.. is this the correct Sacramento Cleo address?

I skipped #10 as well. Hurry up and send that sucker in so that you can start buying more guns and using the C&R discount. If you can swing some OT in the next month or so, I'd highly recommend it.

And if Century ever gets some decent ammo in you can buy ammo from them using your FFL03.

I hear Century will not ship to 03ffl any longer, only 01ffl.

They just changed that policy, so now they will ship to 03FFL's in California again.

I know this is a necro-post but is the address here still right? I went on the Sac PD website and they don't have a contact address listed.

I just wrote United States Citizen in that section of the application.

What about if you have an FFL03 and your in a city with restrictions on mail order ammo?

They just changed that policy, so now they will ship to 03FFL's in California again.

SOL.. prohibited city/county is prohibited. Most of those restrictions will allow "city licensed dealers" which an 03 can not engage in firearm dealing
Then there are some vendors who have erroneously listed "Orange County, CA" as a prohibited location. They will not change the policy even though OC has no prohibition.

What cracks me up about all this.

I live in San Francisco, I can drive to San Bruno or Pacifica, buy all I want and bring it home. What the hell is the difference between ordering it to my house and going and buying it elsewhere?

Really it's just the liberal do good types that are all uptight about it, who feel they are protecting everyone from the evil gun types.

I'll stop before I get wound up ;-)

Since this is a 20 month old resurrected "03 FFL" thread...
a reply was made about a vendor who didn't but later did give discounts to 03 holders,
then a question about an 03 holder residing in a restricted city, likely an inquiry in regards to ammo purchases.

Online sales, using from out of state vendors, can result in a substantial cost saving, and in most cases, the ability to purchase items, like ammo, that are not available or of a significant quantity from local sources. BIG Difference.

Yes, skip #10. The instructions here worked for me:

I have a couple of questions re: the application

                            1) I live in L.A. County, but outside of L.A. (thank God for that). Who is considered the CLEO? My local P.D. Chief or the L.A. County Sheriff?

                            2) The application asks about previous FFL's. I had a C&R FFL when I lived in a different state about 10 years ago. I let it lapse and moved back into CA. I'm assuming they want to know about this previous C&R FFL? I don't even know exactly where it is or when it lapsed. (It's in a box somewhere in my garage lol).

                            Thanks!

What police agency responds when you call 911? If in unincorporated area of the county, or cities that contract with the LA County Sheriff, then your CLEO is Sheriff Leroy Baca. If in a city with its own PD, then your CLEO is that police chief.

Yes put down your previous FFL. IMO -- a copy of it with a quick note such as, I allowed it to lapse, would be useful. As long as it was not revoked, shouldn't be a problem.
