    Picked these three up today

Older guy that is moving and wanted them gone. He wanted them to go to a good home no family, etc..
He even asked me what my bill was for the work I did after he gave these to me......yeah right Mr. I owe you! It was a hour long service call.
No, he said a good home is for them is what I want. No way I'd take money after this and I certainly didn't want them destroyed.

Arisaka not sure what caliber it is, need help defining what model it is. Bring back from WWII, he was on a destroyer in the pacific. Mum ground, I'd like to blue the grind marks or suggestions on what I should do?
    Crosman 3100 in wonderful shape.
Wards Westerfield 22lr. that needs it's stock refinished. he said he learn to shoot on the 22.

I have brought them home, cleaned the bores and metal with Hoppes and rubbed them down with Rem Oil nothing more. Need suggestions on getting surface rust off.
The Arisaka means alot, since mine was stolen and it was from my Dad. Sort of a good replacement. My dad was the first one I called.

Arisaka looks like type 99 it would be 7.7 jap caliber. You could blue that spot, it but like most C&R your better to leave them alone then do anything to them.

Congrats those are some good rifles you got there. The 22 bolt will be a fun one.

                  Nice.

+1 on leaving the grind marks alone.

I wish I had luck like that!

Your Crosman was made by Cometa in Spain, I can't even remember how long ago. It was their attempt to compete with Beeman, RWS, etc.
Advertised as a 500fps gun, in good shape it's closer to 600fps. Don't use any oil on the seals, or any other internal parts, except for Hoppes Elite Gun Oil. It's one of the very few that is non-flammable. Flammable oils like WD-40 will ignite under the pressure, and blow the seals out. WalMart and Big5 carry Hoppes Elite.
I have a very expensive Feinwerkbau Sport 124, the grand dad of break open air rifles, sitting here needing seals because the unknowing owner lubed it up with a flammable oil.

Thanks Trapp and others for the recommendations. I did rub the Crosman down externally with Rem Oil, but have done nothing to the barrel internally.
I didn't even spray it, just sprayed a rag and rubbed the metal down. Since it's a break, is it safe to just run a oil pad through the barrel only?
Good gun day since I went up and shot my 30-30 Marlin for the first time as well.

DON'T oil the Crosman's internals with regular oil. Use either 10w non-detergent motor oil or the $2.50 for one liter compressor oil from harbor freight (great stuff)

Regular 3-in-1 oil and gun oil can destroy seals on air guns, don't ask me how I know.

Edit: trap beat me to it

Regarding the airgun, over lubrication is one of the most common maladies with spring guns. In fact, if you were to do a search on the various methods of tuning spring piston guns, you'll find that most people use just the tiniest amount of grease on the piston seal and then call it good. My guess is that there is still plenty of grease from the factory and you probably don't have to do a thing other than cock it and shoot it. Don't start squirting a bunch of snake oil down that compression tube, you'll soon regret it.
