They are now excepting mail, fax, or email submissions. They used to only do mail for the 03's. I'd send it in via mail and you'll get added for sure, you may have to follow up after a week or two though. Be sure to include your e-mail so they can send you your log-in/password.Comment

Yes, any excuse to post pictures.
The Type 53 I picked up today certainly does have a perfect bore, although it did come with a moldy, ugly soft stock.
I did some work on it this morning and this is what I came up with: (Far Left). I finished it in Bacon Grease. yum yum. Chinese people love Char Siu.
The two on the left side are refinished, the two on the right side have their original finish.

One thing I forgot to mention is the triggers on the Type 53's. They are MUCH more crisp and responsive. There is literally no break on the trigger. One the verge of being hair triggers. Not sure why but the triggers on these are nothing like the regular 91/30, M38, or M44's.Comment

The T53 trigger is excellent. A better trigger than a lot of later Russian made versions.
My guess is the T53 had great quality control. The machining is superior, i would say the Chinese were very proud of the T53.
To me its a very underrated rifle, maybe due to the low cost and non refurbed condition of most of the recent ones

My Type 53 GC just came today. Overall it seems to be in pretty good condition. Its a 1953.10. The broken part of the stock appears to have been repaired at some point, although I think I'm still going to have to do something about the crack.
