I have been to the vintage steel match..even got a shirt to prove it: )

I was the one shooting an Ishapore 2a1 a few months ago. Was my first time shooting it. Hell..I hit 3 rams with my iron sites. But having to buy non fmj rounds prices me out of that fun.

Sure sounds like the type to compromise between gun types. If a marsmallow is shaped like a gun, she wants to ban it.

The time and place has been picked, nothing is safe. Its only a matter of if the Constitution and Supreme court mean anything anymore.

Sorry about the thread hijack - I just wanted to say I agree with this. The Supreme Court of the 2008 Columbia v. Heller decision affirming that "the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed" means what it sounds like it means is not likely to rubberstamp any wholesale changes in gun laws.

The whole thing is worth reading. Anyway, apropos to this forum, it was amusing to imagine that bubba-ing your SKS might actually be made illegal.

show me a swiss or german rifle for $100 or less. i just bought a 1942 Mosin Nagant M91-30 from royal-tiger for $49.95 and $15 shipping from carolina to san diego. i unfortunatly save aluminum cans and bottles to support my buying habits.

                  Guys,

As an aside, I just joined the JPFO (http://jpfo.org). No, I'm not Jewish, but I think these folks have a really good outlook on the 2nd Amendment, and an excellent angle of attack due to their straight-shooting, no-spin, telling the truth how it is way of handling things.

For me, the NRA has gotten hard to understand. They also backed water a couple times recently and that was not something I agreed with.

However, with all the drum-beating from the anti-gunners, now is the time to join the NRA, GOA, or the JPFO.

After a year, I'll see what the JPFO is doing for me and decide whether I want to extend my membership.

                  Regards,

                  Josh
