Torrance had most out and let you look at every box that was not marked taken. I will always look at the gun in box before I buy a damn thing.

You would not want to buy one of these Turners SKSs sight unseen, trust me.

I picked up my first SKS today from the Turners in Chino Hills. They didn't have any to choose from, they said all were in the warehouse. I went ahead and rolled the dice hopefully I score.

I havent been to impressed by the ones From JG that are roll of the dice also. The one i found today look better then quite a few of the "Hand Picked" ones from JG. I was about to order one from JG but anytime I can but and inspect I will take, especially for some price.

Even though i have to wait 10 days

Picked up 2 at the Norwalk store. Matching numbers, +80% blueing, rough stocks. I'm happy.

Guys, whats more important, decent stock or more bluing on the gun? ofcourse it would be better if you can get both.

I would go for blueing. Its better at combating rust. Stocks are easy cheap replacement. Where as reblueing can be a pain and ruin any value to surplus if valuable

If I could find one even that had no bluing, but no rust, I would have been all over it. Stocks are the least of your problems, either do a tasteful refinish (I have seen some beautiful home re-finished Mosins and Mausers) or buy a replacement, no biggie.

But if there is massive corrosion, that's a no go for me.
