I have a client in Cuthbert, GA that needed some work done on his observatory, so a I made a quick trip out here to take care of him.

Normally I would fly into Montgomery but this time I I routed through Birmingham to make a stop by CMP in Anniston.

All I can say is anyone interested in Garands should make the trip. Great, knowledge volunteers to help advise you on your selection ( that's the hardest part - way too many choices ) and fabulous ladies to help process your order. The experience is well worth the extra driving.

I picked up two Service Grade Korean War era rifles, box of clips and straps. I'll post pics when FedEx delivers them on Tuesday.

If you make the trip bring a bag of cash - you'll need it!

Anniston is about an 1.5 hrs from me. I was supposed to take a trip there this past Tuesday with the intent of picking up a Kimber 82 but some dumb *** on the CMP forum said there were only 6 left in the entire store as of 3 days before I planned to go and I figured they would be sold out so I didnt make the trip. Then I read a post on the CMP forum that people purchased multiple Kimbers this past weekend. Did you see any Kimbers? I think I may have to take the morning off from work Wednesday and pick one up.
