Considering a Swiss K31

Quick question regarding diopter sights: it looks like the tangent sight can no longer be used in that configuration?

Should they be grouped in with the "anti 2A" crowd? I don't think so... but I have reached out to them asking them to redefine and/or reconsider this statewide ban. Hopefully they see fit to do so.

What diopter sight are you looking at?

as to the diopter impeding the regular "battle" sights, it may depend on the type of diopter mount. On one of my K-31s I have a Swiss Products diopter and it does block the issued sights.

This was in the sale thread IDK how you didn't see it. Was listed in the next city over from you. I've been waiting for a GB for a while but the guy never got 10 people together for one. I know Gun Vault in Mountain View has a few. Not pretty but has a shiny bore. I have yet to visit krausewerk in the peninsula but they may have some too.

All I care about is seeing what this swiss match hype is about. If this is the one I should be attending them soon. Also still waiting to fund a diopter set from swissproductsllc.com

Hi guys! Dad's P/S Diopters are good from 75 to 1,000 yards target shooting. They clamp on so they can be removed quickly. Loosen two screws on one side of the front sight and rotate it out of the way and you have the issue sights.
If you scribe the front Diopter sight you get right back to zero.

Just like fishing, shooting ain't hitting.

Nice rifles, usually almost brand new innards, still inexpensive (try Samco). No war history, and no more accurate than good examples of other marques that use cheaper ammo, which actually might have been used in a war, if that matters.
