    Appropriate CMP Documentation

I've never delt with the CMP before and I'm looking to buy
a rifle or two from them.
So as my title say's, what documents are considered acceptial from those of you that have delt with them?

Would a copy of the following documents pass muster?

    Passport
    CDL
    CMP Notary Page
    Handgun Safety Cert
    Hunters Safety Cert
2012 Hunting Lic / Deer Tag
    2012/13 NRA Card
    2012/2013 Rod/Gun Club affiliation
    DE Pistol Marksmanship Qualification Program

I have not shot in sanctioned events.

    Thanks -g

Passport covers Proof of Citizenship and Age.

Next is affiliated organization member. Join the CRPA or Garand Collectors Association. Assuming your "Rod/Gun Club" isn't affiliated.

The Activity requirement is a little more stringent but still easy. If the Hunting cert included live fire training then that. If the Marksmanship program included live fire and you have documentation then that should work. If not, get their form from the page above and have a range officer sign off on it the next time you shoot.

I used the form for my first orders, but use my C&R license now.

Handgun Safety Cert is acceptable for Participation in a Marksmanship or other Firearm Related Activity that's what i used but you still need a club affiliation

Handgun Safety Card and GCA membership works, cheap and quick, it's how I bought my first M1.

The CMP provides pretty complete instructions here:

The items you list all seem to qualify except the NRA membership. I don't believe the NRA is an "Affiliated organization."
"Everyone must determine for themselves what level of tyranny they are willing to tolerate.
I let my CA residency expire in 2015."

Surprised they take the CA HSC since it doesn't require live fire to get.

They also accept 03-FFL,which also requires no live fire.

"FFL or C&R license" does not include a "live fire" condition like some of the other qualifying activities.

This post indicates Orest has said the HSC is good to go so there does seem to be a little wiggle room around the written rules:

Yep, used my HSC to fulfill the requirement about 2 months ago along with becoming a member in the CRPA. A little more expensive that the Garand club but I am also supporting a group that is fighting for my rights, specifically in this state.

as well as showing up in a Garand match

The priceless benefit of that is a qualified instructor is there to teach someone who hasn't handled an M1 and how to shoot iron sights.

Thanks for the replys. I remember reading somewhere here about qualifications were not in stone.
I'll join the GCA. I love to follow the history of certain guns.
Their war participation, serials, and numbers made for a time period.
This is how I got started on Mosins and the Garands seem equally fun to follow with the number produced.
I'll also have a range officer sign the other form.
I'm bummed that the 6M's that went on sale are gone so fast.
I was reading rumors that Orest was saying something to the fact of
"Safe your money for Christmas time", buy who knows.
                          Thanks again!

I predict if Obummer wins, the CMP will sell out of rifles within six months.
