When I shot my AK there, I used Tul ammo and they didn't mind. But when it came to brown bear, silver bear, mfs, or wolf they said no lol .

It depends on who you talk to there, they say all steel case is good to go as long as it's being shot out of a Russian gun. But with what I said in the paragraph above, it isn't true many times lol.

Funny thing is, they sell MFS 7.62x54R, so I'm sure you can shoot that there. What I wanna know is if we can shoot light ball or yellow tip heavy ball surplus there lol.

I bought some of this ammo from Palmetto State armory. They have a 10% off sale going on right now so it brings the cost down to about $12.50 a box

That's a pretty good deal at Palmetto for that reloadable Prvi. Shame they're in South Carolina, but see if you can play another vendor off against them. :-)

Some brass cased ammo uses steel jacketed projectiles. So don't count on being able to shoot all brass cased ammo if your local range prohibits steel jacketed projectiles.
I just checked my Wolf gold and Winchester Metric with a magnet and it did not stick. Hope that helps!

I'm curious if your Winchester Metric has a country of manufacture listed on the box. It used to be manufactured by Sellier & Bellot in the Czech Republic and came with steel jacketed projectiles. I'm wondering if S&B switched to copper jacketed projectiles or if Winchester Metric 7.62x54R is now made in Serbia at the same PPU plant as Wolf Gold.

Winchester is sold at Walmart. Pretty cheap at my store.

Box in hand, states made in the Czech Republic! I have had these for close to a year now.

Interesting. Thanks. I wonder if all S&B 7.62x54R is copper jacketed now.
