    Ordered another M1 garand

Well, I did it. I just dropped the order form and payment in the mail box. Can't take it back now.

This time, I ordered a service grade HRA.

Maybe this time, I'll get all the parts I need to complete my IHC.

I'll let you know in 21 days or so, unless they break the processing speed record. (again)

Very nice...I plan on ordering a service grade HRA as well before the end of the year.

          You may be okay.

I just received a registered, signature required letter sent out on the 28th of last month, no attempt by recipient to pick it up and returned to me.

          Rent check. Good times.

They are addictive. I started out buying one and telling myself that it was all I needed. Now I have 15 including a M1C, M1D, a Schuffs Mini-G, and one chambered in 308.

The whole gun spectrum is addictive. I'll be adding a weatherby vanguard series 2 deluxe in .308, an AK, and a ruger 10/22 takedown next month, and a pair of .380 handguns for me n the wife next year. I just can't stop. It all started with a shotgun for home defense 30 years ago in a small crowded rental I shared with five friends...

IMO, HRAs are the best made of the four makers followed by post war SA, IHC, WWII SA and last WRA. If you pull the action of all five rifles and look at the underside of the receiver, you can pick out the WRA from a mile away as the machining is so rough you can use it as a file.

I love late HRAs in the 5.6 - 5.7 range. They are just plain gorgeous!

Glad to hear that CMP is processing orders so quickly. I dropped my paperwork in the mail 10 days ago for exactly the same, a service grade HRA. I better start making room in the safe soon.

                      Mine only took a week.
                      Tuesday - Tuesday.
                      It's a 5.6 Mil HRA.
I've already disassembled it and looked at every part.
Oiled and greased the recommended parts.
Almost like new, 'cept for the nick on the crown.
But that's only on the outer edge.

Yeah. My "SA" IHC took only a few days longer and everyone called BS on me. But it certainly didn't take the 30-60 days the CMP promises. it was less than two weeks but i don't remember exactly now. Folks I've chatted with say average is 21 days so that's what I wrote, but i won't send it back if they get it here in a week!

HRA, SA, get all of them while you (we as gun collectors) can. As we know prices will likely sky rocket in the near future. All in all it sounds like good music in my ears of what Badmusic is doing. Ha ha ha!

My advice is this, buy a few large Liberty safes and max out your 12 limit for the year till they are all gone. You will thank me later for sure. I'm not big "O" but I'd say the Greek return will all be gone in less than 2 years.
