    Best choice for surplus gun?

I'm looking for a good surplus gun for around $300. I'm open to pistols or rifles. I was looking at a 1895 nagant revolver or a tokarev ttc. Are those durable guns or do you have another suggestion? Thanks.

With 300 you can afford a CZ82 which is probably the best surplus gun on the market for the money. They run about 200-250.
Everyone on Calguns keeps talking about TDS. I never knew we had so many fish keepers!

The TDS on my 10gallon tanks 110ppm
The TDS on my 29 gallon tank is 150ppm (due to substrate)

Isn't that the Czech version of the Russian makrov? If so I was also looking at those.

Buy a Romanian TTC and a few hundred rounds. Then, with the rest of the money, buy a mosin-nagant

But if you just want a pistol, get a CZ-82. Ammo is cheaper than 9x19 when you buy bulk Brown Bear 9mm Makarov. $8.99 for a box of 50.

Indeed. I'm on the Mosin dick after picking up my first one recently.

buy something cheap to feed 82 or makarov would be a good choice as ammo is still cheap and readily available, you'll note that 7.62x25 has all but dried up. i have some and never bought the pistol for it, so i shoot it out of my mosins with a chamber insert. that sh*t really moves! seemed pretty sedate so i took off my muffs but it's loud as hell out of an m44. they say you're not supposed to use it in the longer rifles but at the velocity that stuff moves, i don't see it being an issue. i'll let you know when i try it. another good old pistol option is a walther p1. looks like a p38, shoots available cheap 9mm, and is a good pistol available at a reasonable price.

If you are still considering rifles a K31 is a sweet choice.
