ky imports have alot of a1 stuff some i believe is real vietnam era stuff.

Thanx, I guess I need an A1 style. Does A2 buffer tube and spring work in an A1?

yes, the tube and spring are the same but you will need a shortened pin as there is a ~5/8" spacer at the end of the A2 stock.
