Beautiful rifle and a generous gesture.

Any specific on the rifle such as make, serial # range and parts?

Beautiful, but why did they use Zip ties to, I assume, secure it to the case?

And I've got $902 on it...

I think that would be a great spot for a "IN CASE OF EMERGENCY - BREAK GLASS" sign!!

I collect Military Arms and enjoy shooting in local matches. I also collect older Lever Actions, especially those chambered in odd/old cartridges. If you have a nice old Winchester or Marlin in 25-20, 32-40, 38-55, 40-60, 45-70, etc etc, please PM me and we can work out a deal.

That's a beautiful rifle. Coming from a WWII vet makes it all the more special. While I understand and support your hostility MJ1, I doubt bloodhawk meant to insult any vets with his silly statement!

Also, a very nice piece to adorn the hall!

I try to. Why must they blurt out mindless insulting off subject replies-about something they know nothing about? If that is supposed to be funny then it's a reflection on parenting and self control.

Yes please send the pictures. I have one more picture I found of Kontum City before Tet in '68 to share. Pass on my respects to your family in the next year.

                        PM me.

We can only hope. The other option sucks.

We have a fake m1d at my grandpa's vfw, don't want to risk getting a real gun stolen.

Come on, let's all take it back a notch. mj1 might have jumped the gun a bit but he is closer to this than we are. Can we all agree its a beautiful rifle? Good, we are all in agreement.

Now can we all dismiss this as a misunderstanding, raise a toast to brave man who risked it all for our country, step back and call it good?
