Finally sent in my C&R packet....hopefully the wait isn't too too long. Has any one applied recently ? And how long was the wait ?

Any time from when it leaves your hot hands is going to be too long. Keep your fingers crossed on beating my 18 day record.

BATFE has anywhere from 0-90 days to get you your license. Time starts when they actually begin the application process, not from the time they take your payment (they're quick at that part). Sit back, have a sandwich, hope for a fast turn around, but expect it could take 12 weeks. The license will come in a plain blue envelope which can look like junk mail, so be careful not to toss it out. You also might get your large regulation and information package even before your license arrives as well.

You'll probably get your thick packet first then the actual 03/FFL docs a few days later. I did. Should take about 6-12 weeks, depending really on how long Sacramento State DOJ and Virginia Fed DOJ take to do the background, plus turn around time. Gives you more time to save, you're gonna need it. Make sure you get a few new credit cards too. You're gonna need those as well
