It was sure fire, non-corrosive ammo. Wish I was a better shot and had a better 8mm rifle back then - unfortunately I did not and can't say anything about its accuracy.

Back in my twenties, I just liked to hear it go bang.

Its very good ammo never been able to find it in large amounts. Shot what I had out of my FN49 nice to be able not to worry about corrosive primers.

SKSer45, still waiting for you to post a target.

I need something to shoot against, ol' son! If you have a scanner, throw it on there and I'll size it to proper proportions with Photoshop. I want one of your bullet holes to use as a target!

Be-careful for what you wish for son, I am feeling pretty good about this 8mm I found and never shot before. I think I might use this as my target and blast this ******* away.

Anyone reloaded the cases? Any opinions of how good the brass is?

            Thanks

man that brass looks clean. If you want, I will keep the brass and give it to someone who wants to reload with it.

LOL...thanks, SKS, but it's already in the hands of someone who wants to reload with it.

But, but...I'm a Mosin freak too

Not sure about what the brass is worth. I've been holding on to it while I reload some Prvi 8x57 brass.

I'm wondering if anyone on the board has reloaded the FNM brass.

Well, I'll hang on to my brass if I intend to reload it. After that, I'll keep you in mind.

                        The Prvi is pretty good brass...I've been reloading it in 7.5 swiss, 8 x 57, 7.65 Argentine, and ...7.62 x 54R...because I'm a Mosin freak.

Nope. 8 x 57 is the cartridge designation for 8mm Mauser. Just like 7.5 x 55 is the designation for 7.5 Swiss

Dude you should know that 8x57=7.92x57.

If you have the Steyr straight-pull in mind, that would be the 8x56R which looks like a very wacky 7.62x54R.
