    No, bought it from a Calgunner in El Cerrito. It started life as a 1941 Ishvesk 91/30.

        I also notice it isn't scrubbed. Mine is, but the tang reveals a 1942 Izzy receiver.



        The matching bolt that comes with this one is an old-school one with the step on the bolt stem, like you see on M-91s and Finns.

          Brass stacker makes one for the m44, I have one and it seems very sturdy. Haven't put it on the gun yet though. Other mounts feel "cheap" and fall off in my experience.

            I paid $275. On the high side for one, but its really nice. Numbers match, stock is near perfect and the bore is clean.

              i bought a Romanian 1955 M-44 fro a pawn shop last month for 269. worth every penny. they made about 30,000 and the quality is at the top ,the metal and trigger are betterr than most.
