Seems like you get what you pay for from these guys. Hopefully the two return shipments were on Samco's dime; if not and this is one of the few rifles you'd be buying with a C&R FFL, then Big 5 prices don't seem too outrageous considering what you are getting.

There was another thread here, on the C&R board, with someone who just got a rifle with a "repaired" stock with what looked like a crack right behind the reciever/bolt area. So what's that, another $50 to have a gunsmith tell you it's OK to shoot?

Not trying to go off on anyones business model or consumer habits, per se, but the whole "Reciever/factory markings are considered German markings, according to us (Samco)" has me thinking the whole "Yaaay, Samco!" convo is a bit overhyped - then again we're talking about $300 Mausers.

Kinda skirting the old "bait and switch" line, no?

I know I'm gonna get got, but I'm going to get mine more than I get got though.

The answer to that question is yes, all shipping was a their dime-not mine.
(Won't have it any other way)
BTW - I read the "fine print", which SAMCO said the buyer has 3-days to notify them on returns and such. If I hadn't, might had been stuck with a junker. Based this exp. not sure I am going to deal with SAMCO again.

I like the stock. Gland things worked out. The guy I got my K31 from got it from Samco he implied they were reputable. If you want to know exactly what you pay for, and are willing to pay more go to Empire Arms or Simpsons LTD.
