Guess what I have in lock-up.

I bid on this little package on GB - threw out a bid on a no reserve auction with seven days to go - sometimes you get lucky, neither the seller or I, thought that it would only realize what it did - crazy.

It arrived yesterday, and is in jail for ten days.
But here is some of the package.
    1940 waffen marked holster
Original serial matching capture papers, Germany 1945.
Two wooden tipped magazines, same approximate serial (within 1000 range), but not matching, unfortunately.
The pistol itself is all matching - how fun!

I have owned a few clunkers of this automatic - Volpo's and mismatches, this is the first really nice one.

I am quietly content - for now, at least until that perfectly priced broomhandle rears it's head, lol.

I'm guessing a Luger? You don't really say exactly what it is, but congrats!

Ha - yes, you can read it on the capture paper - horrible light outside, but I'll take a better picture when I pick it up.
Vegas gunshow this weekend, try and pick up some spare parts - tool/cleaning rod.

        What was the bid?
        Yes you can have 2 C&R 03 FFL's; 1 in California and 1 in a different state.

The price is between me and the seller, Sir.

(it was four figures, the capture papers are what make it really nice for my collection)

Another way might be to PM and ask me directly, I am an approachable guy, I just don't want to advertise what I bought it for in a public forum - in respect to the fellow I bought it from, who was clearly hurting from the sale.

No reserve auctions can create a feeding frenzy, or they can backfire.

Good to see the seller man-up and honor the price! I usually go no-reserve when I sell because I tend to realize higher-prices, but I'm always ready to take it up the YKW if it doesn't go my way!

Pics please when you pick it up!
You will never, in your life, have a chance like this again.
If I were you, I would not pass this up. I would not let this go by...this is rare.

I am usually outbid by $5.00 at the last minute, I drop three or four bids a day, just throw out what I can afford and forget about it, it's sort of fun for me, until a dozen all win at once then I have to explain it to Mrs. Pit*, lol - but I think also the guy misspelled Luger, or something, so it didn't appear on a search, who knows.

Yes, I am glad he manned up, too.

Probably why I couldn't find it when I searched GB finished auctions.
Nice find -- and as others have said, pictures when you get them please.

                      Kindest regards.

                          Lol!

But, it would have been funnier if it hadn't taken you three days to come up with the punchline.

                          Just kidding ya,

I will photograph better soon - light looks horrible in camera phone and lots of distractions to deal with tonight, new toys to clean and put away.
Blue good - was left in holster for decades so rust spotting where it came into contact with leather, but most came right off, straw good, wood good, spotless inside.
I will also fix *&^%# photobucket which is not saving the rotated image.

The capture papers make it priceless to me.

But it is still a very nice little Luger.
