Nice choice. C&R is about much more than milsurp.
I know you're posting pictures when you can but ..
People don't like to be meddled with. We tell them what to do, what to think, don't run, don't walk. We're in their homes and in their heads and we haven't the right. We're meddlesome.

        Very nice.

        Yes you can have 2 C&R 03 FFL's; 1 in California and 1 in a different state.

Very cool -- box and accessories too! The best thing about a little pistol is that she's likely to carry it rather than leave it.
There are a lot of small pistols that are C&R but people tend to overlook them. For example, my Colt 1908 and Baby Browning are both C&R. These tiny .25 acp centerfires tend to work very well:

Shown with a slightly larger C&R

I had a unknown .25 auto magazine handed to me today, if what it fits, doesn't show up, I got a mag full of ammo for her new toy when you come by.
