    Polish Tokarev

    Hi,

I just bought a Polish Tokarev from classic arms, its in very good condition but the barrel serial number is a mismatch, but barrel is bright and shinny with good rifling. Both frame and slide serials match. Is it common for surplus Polish Tokarev to have mismatched barrels? I have not seen any one importers/sellers advertising as matching serial numbers unlike Mosin Nagants.

What's your experience with Polish Tokarev serial#s?

    thanks

Mine has all numbers matching. I got it from Turner's a year or two ago, back when they had it on sale for $230 or so. Who's the importer on yours?

I haven't seen many Polish Toks on the market at all. Most of the ones the past few years that I've seen were Yugos and Romanians.

          Mine's PW Arms.

I don't think Polish Tokarevs were ever imported in any great numbers, but they're out there, just not in great numbers. SOG had them a couple of months ago, they might still have them.

Bought a P1 from Classic and they advertised it as all matching numbers. Barrel was not matching, and called them on it. They said I could send it back at my expense, and they would send me a matching one, but it would not be in as good condition as the one I have.. Needless to say, I just kept it. Will not trust them again!

I picked up a Polish Tok from SOG maybe 3 years ago and the bore is very nice.

I would call them back and complain a little more. You should not have to pay anything for their mistake. If you have a receipt saying you bought a matching number gun that is what they have to get you. If you have a receipt say you bought one in excellent condition then that is what they have to give you. If they won't give you what you ordered and pay shipping to correct their problem call your CC and complain to them. They will call Classic and tell them that they will need to fix your problem or they will be forced to reverse the charges.

                    EDIT

Classic is now a user on this forum. You might want to send them PM and see what they can do for you.

                    Good luck
                    Yes you can have 2 C&R 03 FFL's; 1 in California and 1 in a different state.

Did classic advertised as all matching#s for P1s or did they smartly mentioned all visible numbers matching? They provide very little information and when you choose hand select you have to mention what you are looking for like bore, matchng#s etc (that sucks) otherwise they will just send a cosmetically good gun.

Is the Polish Tok you bought a 762x25? If so I thought they had to be on the Ca gun roster? Or am I understanding wrong. I sure would like one in 762x25 if we can get it in Ca.

Umm, is there a non-7.62x25 Polish Tokarev on the roster?

Either way, C&R handguns are exempt from the roster.

Ok, the reason I ask is these guys sell this gun and in their ad they state to check the Ca roster. I dont see a tokarev or non on the Ca roster. I know you are making a joke but Im a newb and I dont get it So Im confused.

They tell you to check on all their pages. They are C&R and roster exempt and J&G knows this. They will ship this to CA without any problems. It's just easier for them to put the disclaimer on all their pages.
