I have a CMP Garand I bought in the 90's and want to sell it. It was made April of 1944. How do I sell it legally?

As long as the buyer is a CA resident eligible to own a firearm, you take the cash and hand it to them.
Always a good idea to keep a record or the sale just to CYA. You can write up a bill of sale for them to sign stating that it is legal for them to purchase a firearm, but it is not required.
