    Newbie Makarov question

I just bought a Bulgarian Makarov and from the serial number Makarov.com says it was made in 1991. The dealer classified it as curio/relic/exempt. I'm curious as why it was classified this way?

Sorry, it's my first hand gun in 20 years and I couldn't find the answer.

because it does not have a loaded chamber indicator, otherwise if it was not C&R and not on the Approved safe handgun roster in this state you couldnt get it unless you did some other workarounds

I don't know why it was classified as a C&R because ATF dosen't have it listed as one.The Century Arms Bulgarian is on the roster, but when you click on the link the page doesn't come up, so I don't know if it still is.

        The bulgarian is not C&R.

        It is on the roster.
        Yes you can have 2 C&R 03 FFL's; 1 in California and 1 in a different state.

That's why I'm confused. The DROS lists it as C&R, but I had found it on the roster before I had bought it.

I think your dealer is confused. It's all good though.
