@bruceflinch- You noticed that...haha. That's awesome. That was all her too by the way. She could obviously tell how I felt about this rifle and knew I had just spent several hours in disassembly, cleaning, and reassembly. She could probably see the loving glances I was giving the rifle.

My wife is also a shooter, gun colllector, NRA pistol instructor and qualified Range Safety Officer. I don't mind telling you that she can outshoot me when we go side by side with our pair of his and hers Beretta 92f's...

I gotta get better so I can give her some better competition. I own her on the rifle and shotgun though...haha...who knows gor how long.

You got yourself a real nice rifle there guy! Now you have to buy your wife a bigger diamond on that wedding ring so we can all see it glitter the next time you have her in a photo. That will give you an excuse to get yourself another Garand.

I have to say that is an awesome job on the stock! The stock appears to be a late WWII/post war build like Pro-NRA said which is a huge bonus, there just aren't that many left. You really got a keeper,one of the best I've seen recently.
Kind of gives me the itch to get another one now
