I figured I would resurrect this post here.

That rifle in my post 263, I still want to sell it for $450, and still have lots of ammo for it.

Info on this rifle, not confirmed but boiler plate scuttlebutt on Gunboards K98 forum...

This is a BNZ 41, captured, rebarreled by Czechs with a new Czech barrel (because of the off center Czech lion), sold to the Iraqis because of the two Jeems, and captured in the Yom Kippur war (which Iraq contributed an infantry division to). It is a Fed Ord import and supposedly many E. German marked rifles imported by Fed Ord went through the same route.

This could be your story too. Beats the heck out of a RC. Also, a good rifle, headspaced excellent, and hits what you shoot at if you don't have bad eyes or shoot at little stuff too far away.
