Huh. I figured that the 7.62mm NATO stuff would be cheaper than 8mm Mauser. But what the hell do I know.

both are getting up there. 22 Bucks for a box of 60 for 8mm...that's a lot. Owner was saying he remembers back in the day when 8mm was .5 cents a round! damn

NATO is about 20 box such as Federal and 8m prvi is about the same give or take. Both are getting up there.

              Random Mauser 98k question:

Has anyone else noticed that pre-war bolts seem to induce a better trigger pull since they are machined a little smoother?

I had a 1937 S/42, that baby shot so smooth, from the bolt to the trigger, it was a beautiful, slick gun. I really miss that one...not as much as my Opa's rifle though.

Yes, definitely. The bnz45 bolts produce a very rough trigger pull. But that is nice

My buddy just got one. Partial match, non RC. Look out for pics soon when it ships. I can't wait to fondle it.

I just happened to notice the night and day difference between the pre-war and everything else. It even made me like Mausers 5% more.

All that said, the K-31 still has the best trigger pull.
