Costa Mesa Gun Show and C&R License

Was thinking of heading out to Costa Mesa this weekend and checking out the gun show. Can I use my new C&R License there ? Opinions ?
    Thanks

If you buy long guns that are 50 years old or older from a PP no license is needed at all.

If you are buying from a CA Dealer it means nothing unless you also have a COE too. With the COE you may buy a C&R firearm from a CA Dealer, fill out and pay the DROS fee and take your firearm home the same day.
    Yes you can have 2 C&R 03 FFL's; 1 in California and 1 in a different state.

Assuming one has both a C&R plus COE -- can the dealer initiate a DROS when not at his place of usual business?

I haven't been to the Costa Mesa Gun Show since the mid 1970's and I know a lot of things have changed.

I am heading there tomorrow as well with my new C&R....I go to all the costa mesa gun shows and actually have a repore with a couple good dealers there. I have run across a couple guys that set up there that are just selling a few old guns and "knick-knacks" that will absolutely not sell a C&R eligible rifle even after showing my 03/FFL. When I explain the 50 year thing and all that, they get miffed, and I still see those same rifles sitting on their tables show after show. These same guys think "C&R" means made before 1898, I just take my money elsewhere, their loss. However, there are a couple of dealers that go beyond to help you. I see these guys first to see what they got, walk the show, and always end up going back to them to buy on the way out. The only one I can remember the name is RK enterprises, super nice guy and always gives a good deal. He doesnt require a C&R license to buy, but still not a bad deal. Good luck tomorrow. If you see a short guy walking around with a red/black Honeywell bag, say hello, thats me. My goal for the show is either a decent K98 or Enfield (or both?)...

From my understanding they can at gun show booths. CalDOJ considers them a legal extension of the shop for that day. Correct me if I'm wrong since I'm still learning the dealer particulars.

You should be able to do that legally. However the odds of finding a dealer with C&R guns that you actually want for a price that's not in the stratosphere is very very remote. Most often it's a ca resident who's not a dealer and you can buy it face to face anyways. The only other time it could prove potentially useful is if there's an out of state person there with c&r guns and again I haven't run into many people who do.
