    Mauser is done

    Our RC K98k is done. Rubbed BLO into the wood and finished it off with some paste wax. Pretty happy with the results.

      That looks great! I have a sanded down Mosin I still need to finish. What paste wax did you use?

          What does the wax do? What happens if you don't use it?


          (I just re-did my No.4 Enfield myself last week, and I'm getting ready to re-do my K-31 today).

                      Looks real good. The wood has a nice blond color to it.

                        I'll take a pic outside this weekend The wood is decent, not perfect. It looks much better than it did with that crappy commie shellac on it.
