Yeah, I was just figuring the CMP garand was $600, plus tax, shipping, getting stuff notorized...It wouldnt be to far behind the cost of this one. I might check out some here, as I had an offer from a CGer to sell me his. The GBer one seems a little frankenstein, no? SA and IH parts. I gotta do a little more research

The one on GB looks nice and could very possibly be just the way it came from CMP. The service grade rifles from CMP are also a mix of parts from different manufacturers:

"Manufacturer selection only guarantees the receiver was produced by the manufacturer listed. The barrel and the other parts may have been produced by other manufacturers."

It looks like the one on GB comes with everything that a CMP rifle comes with, including the CMP case. So all you would be saving by going through CMP would be $200.
Also, you want to keep in mind that if you buy from GB you also pay the FFL transfer fee plus DROS: $50-$100. From CMP it ships to your door, no 10 day wait, no FFL fee.
