Do you want an AOW or C&R SBS/SBR in CA?

Hey guys quick question. I want to put in an order for a Service grade. I dont mean to thread jack you Kodemonkey lol

I can use my Handgun Safety Cert. for the "Marksmanship or other Firearms Related Activity"?

I can join the CRPA and use that towards the "Membership in CMP Affiliated Organization requirement"? I didnt see it listed, just making sure.

Submit the few other, easier items like my order form, birth cert etc and i should be GTG correct? I just got a new credit card with 0% for 12 months, this is perfect! LOL

Yep. CRPA is acceptable organization. So is GSSF. There is a list of acceptable organizations on the CMP website. He placed his order in mid Dec. So it was less than a month turn around.

              1. Easiest organization to join is the Garand Collectors Association. http://www.thegca.org/

              2. Have your handgun safety certificate or CCW to count as firearms related activity.

              3. Get a copy of your birth certificate from the county you were born in.

              4. Fill out the order form and have it notarized.

              5. Mail it in and wait like a kid on Christmas Eve for your M1 to arrive.

^ That does look like the easiest, and they submit your member info directly to CMP, no need to wait for your member card. Damn, I just signed up for the CRPA too lol. I wonder if i should join the GCA just so i can send the order off, i already have everything needed except for a membership. Ill give the CRPA a call and see how long it takes them to mail my stuff out. Thanks for info guys!

Good for you helped your boss buy a CMP Special.
Reason park looks great is that they CMP Specials are repark of WWII SA receivers. Usually rifles that could not make it a whole rifles but the receiver is good, CMP turns it into "Special" grade. They install new tube, new furniture and new or reparked internals. Reason your barrel TE/MW is 0-0 is because it is new manufacture from CBI. WWII barrels even NOS rarely measures 0 on both ends that's due to manufacturing tolerances. Today CBI barrel are the best for the money and I'm willing to bet that it will shoot better than your boss can.

                    Thanks.
Here's what you do. Photo copy your retired ID, fill out the forms, get it notorized, send it in. Retired military is a "special affiliation" and also shows proof of marksmanship activities. This is the route I took. Had the forms filled out, notarized at work, and sent it same day. I just wished I would've found out years ago. For some reason they accept your military ID as proof of citizenship.

                      But I have to ask...

                      Q: What's the difference between an *** kisser & a brown-noser?

He called me one day from the gun store and said; "Hey, I saw a stainless Sig P229 that I know your wife was looking at and put $500 down on it as a gift. They are waiting for you to DROS it."

The CEO is also a firearms enthusiast so he's next. He hasn't seen either of these rifles yet but I bet he will be asking me how to get one shortly.
That's cool! I was just yankin your chain. Had a lot of Bosses & none that Good!

Oh, the Answer to the Question is: AIM!
Actually I only started collecting Milsurps 3 years ago. I think I might own about 24...They're cheaper than guns that will most likely never get the opportunity to kill somebody...

I belong to the group that uses firearms, and knows which bathroom to use.

Tis better to have Trolled & lost, Than to never have Trolled, at all.
