What has science DONE!? Need Mosin experts..

I am highly intrigued by this body design not only because it looks awesome, but because it looks like they've freed up the barrel considerably....what kind of accuracy would I expect if I were to pick up a MN and throw the internals into this bad boy?

By the way, I would keep the furniture in original condition for show and tell, but for range time, and in the name of getting grouping beyond 100 yards, let's assume this is more accurate than the original nomenclature.

or you could buy a cheap modern production rifel and obtain superior accuracy and not get some weirdass gun in the process

It would be nice if there was a modern rifle that shoots the 7.62x54R

What part is destroyed? You can un-do all this build in 5 minutes. But ya know, I like the way you think. lol

                  You have seen this thread?

Laws that forbid the carrying of arms... disarm only those who are neither inclined nor determined to commit crimes... Such laws make things worse for the assaulted and better for the assailants; they serve rather to encourage than to prevent homicides, for an unarmed man may be attacked with greater confidence than an armed man. Jefferson's "Commonplace Book," 1774_1776, quoting from On Crimes and Punishment, by criminologist Cesare Beccaria, 1764

For a bullpup kit that's pretty much in the ballpark and less considering what you're getting. It's on my wishlist as well....2 of them.

There are several, the m28/76 and TKIV-85 come to mind. Then there are the vostok biathalon rifles, but good luck finding one of those...

Or you can buy a complete Finn M39 for about the same money. The Finns already accurized everything the Russians neglected. Drop on a Darrell's scout mount and an inexpensive scope and you have an MOA-capable rifle. Or you could use some of the same accurizing techniques the Finns used, doing the work yourself. If your bore is decent, some trigger tuning and stock bedding would probably work wonders.

Bullpup triggers are notoriously long and imprecise, kind of for the same reasons the shift linkage on a rear-engined VW van is the same way.

I'll agree with you on the long and imprecise part, but they appear to have a solution to that. I'm looking forward to trying it out for the heck of it.
