Ok I know they are just replicas and not truly C&R but I am interested in getting one. However the problem isnt getting the rifle its getting the mags. No one I have found so far will ship 36 round stick mag rebuild kits. I am planning on pinning/riveting them to make them permanent 10 rounders. I am stuck because I dont want to buy the rifle and have no mags for it obviously...

Your best bet is to visit a gun show or shop in a different state with cash in hand. Buy your magazines, convert them and enjoy your new rifle.

No need for the popcorn either, if there were any commercially built 10 round magazines for this rifle I wouldnt even be in this predicament. Even though its a cool collectors piece I am not going to risk my freedom for a stupid rifle.

Check with Copes Dist, they might get you some and they will take them apart for you.

Does this thing take the same as the PPsh 41? 43? If the same as either there are plenty at gun shows, cheap. I grabbed a half dozen for the 43, $15.00 each so I don't feel bad doing the rivet 10 steps down.

mag can be found but none under 32 rds.... copes has 72rd drums for 30 bucks, the stick mags are out there just got to search , can even find the 50rd coffin mags from time to time(very spendy)... there is nothing illegal about getting the mags and only assembling them into 10 rounders just like all those AK and AR 10/30 mags out there

nope these mags where used in the m31 ,kp44, and m45, along with some NFA tubeguns that where built in the 80's

Also check with Exile Machine. If they have them they don't charge to break down, and if they don't have them they offer to receive and break down for how much I don't know.
