vz 24 Mauser shootability

As an off-topic, is it true that some of those Czech made 98ks were sabotaged out of spite for the Nazis? I mean, we're talking about the people who took out Reinhard Heydrich in 1942.

At least that's what I heard about Czech 98ks this one time. One reason I'm going for the vz's is because they cost less for essentially the same gun. Also, I'm a fan of the Czechs. Great guns, beer, and gorgeous women--what's not to like?

Everyone and their brother wanting a 98k obviously drives up demand for them. Don't get me wrong, I like them too, I'd think an early war Sauer rifle would be awesome to have.

For some reason, I am really digging it, but I noticed it doesn't have the same "rollmarks" as the other vzs I've seen. Can someone enlighten me on this specific rollmark?

The Bohemian lions are certainly cool, but I like the simplicity of that one and thus is my personal favorite. In fact, it was that pic that even made me consider look at the '24s.

I haven't heard of intentional sabotage from the Czechs, but I suppose it's possible

BCD coded G43s on the other hand....

Anywho, I own a 1941 BYF coded RC K98, it's common but a good shooter. I'd still like to pick up a Vz.24 someday. I've got a Vz.24 bayonet, but no Vz.24!

Was used in 1929-30 called 3 line straight. Lions were used 1933-39 or so.
