    Fulton Armory?

Everything I read about Fulton, esp. reviews of their military rifles, is highly positive. I'm interested in buying one of their M1 Carbines. As most probably know, these are not clones or newly manufactured like Auto Ordnance or the Universals; Fulton uses USGI receivers they recondition, and puts new match barrels on them, replaces parts as needed, etc. I think the wood is either new or refinished.

I ran into one in a reputable gun shop today at a pretty good price. It was a real beauty.

Fulton is also well known for their M1s and M14s, which they put together the same way.

I realize that technically this post may not belong in the C&R forum but forgive me if I'm in the wrong place.

Has anyone owned a Fulton Armory M1 Carbine or any of their other military rifle products? If so, what are your comments?

I have not. But I have only heard nothing but good things about them.
    Yes you can have 2 C&R 03 FFL's; 1 in California and 1 in a different state.

      Best in Class.

I have not owned any of thier rifles , but have done business with Fulton for years. Their parts , tools , and books always have always been GTG . Maybe a little spendy , but always solid , honest , and functional . Fulton is a great team .

        ^^ agreed ^^

I've also never bought any of their assembled rifles but have bought many parts, tools, and accessories for my M1A from them. I have nothing but good
things to say about their products or service.

You should be able to find a real nice all USGI Carbine for less than what Fulton sells
Check Gunbroker under the name " Shuffs Parkerizing " He is selling a couple nice carbines there

Fulton Armory is an ok place. They have parts but most are reproduction parts. If you buy one of there M1 Carbines pretty much the only piece that is USGI is the receiver. Everything else is modern. There expensive too. Buy a USGI one, you won't regret it.

I had an M1 Garand that I bought from CMP (and the barrel/receiver so pitted the rounds were seizing) reconditioned by Fulton. They put a new barrel on it, reparkerized it, put all new walnut stocks. It is definitely a "new" rifle now so if you're going for the war-worn look it's not for you. But the rifle is gorgeous; everyone loves it and I've gotten multiple offers to buy it. So if you're after an expertly reconditioned rifle I think you can't go wrong.

I had an M1 Garand NM from them. They do good work but nothing you can't get at a lot of other places for a lot less. Their fans can be downright rabid.
